Triple extruded welds
The Thermal Design features the industry-leading, factory-made triple-extrusion welding process that ensures the right seam strength, durability and appearance, and has unique pressure resistance to ensure very low vapor permeability. Ideal for minimizing air intrusion and maintaining vapor barrier integrity throughout the shell assembly, as opposed to the thousands of hidden, unsealed tacking holes or lap joints typical of face insulation and seam-in-place methods.
Syseal™ fabric colors
Thermal Design offers the most color design options of any other vendor in the industry and places great emphasis on quality control to provide a consistent and reliable product. Syseal White has certainly been the most popular material for standard applications over the past two decades. Sports facilities and lighting enthusiasts particularly appreciate our Syseal Super White due to its high reflectivity; while Syseal Black remains the preferred option to hide the roof in desired applications. Snap-R™
Snap-R thermal spacer blocks are made of polystyrene material and have a different shape than typical building manufacturer thermal spacer blocks. Our unique design allows the installer to attach the thermal block to the purlin flange (or strap) without worrying about the wind blowing it during installation. In fact, in most situations, the installer can stay in one position and slide each 24-inch long Snap-R the full length of the purlin.
Snap-R is shown mounted on the inner flange to provide additional wall space
- unique design
- snap and slide
- will not explode
- Creates additional cavity
- Provides a thermal break
Installing fiberglass insulation over the Snap-R Heat Block is not normally recommended. Ideal use is to provide additional void space, typically for full thickness single layer insulation assemblies and for use on internal or external flanges. Snap-R increases the performance of the entire insulation assembly as it eliminates direct contact between the steel plates and the purlin or belt, minimizing heat transfer.

Sealants
The Simple Saver System recommends a variety of sealants depending on the structure, condition, use and needs of the building. They are used to seal the perimeter edges of fabric liner (vapour retardant) to adjacent main frames and eave supports. Thermal Design has done a tremendous amount of research and testing to determine what is the most effective and cost effective insulation system sealant. Replacement of non-quality controlled sealants by Thermal Design is not recommended and may void the warranty.
G524+ Simple Saver System High-Tack™Sealing agent
This unique synthetic rubber sealant is available by the gallon and is applied directly to structural metal components. Our patented formula ensures the sealant bonds quickly and effectively, saving the installer time. Thermal Design supplies this sealant most often on new build projects.

system seal™repair tape
Mistakes happen - don't worry. Syseal™ Repair Tape is an adhesive made from Syseal™ fabric covering materials used in Thermal Design fabric covering systems. They are made from the same FHC Class A (fire rating) fabric quality and are of comparable strength, although there may be slight color variations. Our goal in quality control is to match quality and color as closely as possible to the processes (Syseal™ White, Super White, Silver Aspen, Black, Toni Taupe™). While very little repair tape is required for most applications and installations, it is useful for patching kerfs and holes. Also, it may be necessary to use repair tape when installing around welded struts or other protrusions that cannot be loosened and replaced.

clamps
- reliable sealing
- Faster installation
- clean look
Maintaining the integrity of Syseal™A vapor barrier around the beam mount is easily accomplished using approved 90° beam mount clips that attach to the underside of the purlin flange. This type of connection provides a reliable seal and speeds up installation as the vapor control layer does not have to be cut where the carrier bracket normally protrudes through the lower level of the purlin.
Cane clips are 14 gauge. Other gauges and lengths are available by special order. Standard colors for strap clips are white and black powder coated. Four (4) color-matched fasteners are included with each clip.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Consult your building fabricator for structural support bracket requirements before installing and using these alternative support brackets. Many building manufacturers have their own preferred mounting clip designs for use with cladding systems.
Additional connection optionsare available upon request and are detailed in the Simple Saver System™ Design Manual. These fastening methods are routinely approved by building fabricators for use with Thermal Design's Simple Saver System. Contractors must consult the building fabricator for connection and clamp requirements.
