A typical day for a sales associate would be to go in and make our customers our first priority. And ensuring that items are always available to our customers for their convenience.

HAS GOOD
The type of problem I solve is anything mundane, from how to fix a sink. Sometimes it's crazier stuff like hey my son needs to build a pvc T-REX. And the things you learn on the job are things that can directly help you. If you have an apartment, if you have a house, if you want to go out on your own and do contractor maintenance, you're going to learn a lot.

KYMONI
It's challenging, but it's good if it makes sense because there's a lot going on. You're not doing just one thing, you're doing multiple things at once.

ATTACHMENT
I needed something to fit my schedule outside the building. I was able to come in and work in the morning, usually between six and noon. And then I went to school and then I came back and closed the shop, like five to ten at night. And there's always a store available if I move from state to state on a transfer.

ANTONIO
You have a group of people willing to help you reach your goal. Because it's like a big family.

JUSTIN
I feel confident that maybe one day I will open my own small business. It has helped me to save money. A 401k is an amazing program that we have here.

So the work we do here at night is basically unloading trucks. And then, as a team, we put it all on the shelves. Make sure the shelves are full and fully straightened. And get the store basically ready for opening every morning.

Register the merchandise, take it to the ground, help other associates, ship it.

AMIGO
You have to be willing to work independently. You have to be willing to work fast. If you keep yourself busy and keep working, you'll notice that nights and things go by as quickly as possible.

It is difficult. You lift a lot. I take over ten thousand steps a day. I have my walkthrough, but it's nice when you crash and go home and feel good about the work you've done for the day.

JARED
This is my second job. They have worked really well for me. Sometimes I manage to take nights off, but I work a little harder on another night. So they've been very flexible.

Some of the benefits that part-time employees have here would, of course, be the ability to buy Home Depot stock at a discount. They have the ability to repay the monthly fees. You get vacation after one year and you also get sick leave. Besides, it's a family. Everyone treats everyone here as a friend. Our administration has barbecues for us. It's just a good company to work for.
